I once came across a website that listed to-do apps made in amny different programming languages. I think even with something like Ruby and all sorts of other languages. No doubt it was all very cool, but it made me wonder, would using some languages would be better than others in such a use case?
And now I happen to have coded a website here for myself. Just with some quick and easy html with a nice sprinkling of css. And now I wonder, were those the right tools for this use case. I mean, html and css is great for something quickly hacked together. And for certain websites, it would certainly be all one would need. But for example if I wanted to have users comment on my blog posts, it certainly wouldn't be so easy to make with just html and css!
That just leads to the question, did I use the right tools for the job with coding this website? I think there's no right or wrong answer here, in that it depends on what I want for my website. If I was content with just a simple website, just this with all the nice html and css would be enough. But if I wanted extra functionality then I think that wouldn't be enough.
Well, what do I want for a website? I suppose time would tell!
